Dr. Elijah O. Onsomu, an assistant professor of in the School of Health Sciences’ Division of Nursing at Winston-Salem State University, teaches a bio statistics course at WSSU as part of the school’s Bridge to the Doctorate Program. A collaborative partnership between WSSU Division of Nursing and Duke University School of Nursing (DUSON), the Bridge program provides minority nurse scholars enrolled in WSSU’s Master of Science in Nursing program with an array of educational and socialization experiences to foster seamless transition into a Ph.D. program at Duke.
