International Village features music, dancing and food from many cultures

Festival to be held on Saturday, Sept. 6, at Winston Square Park

The City of Winston-Salem Human Relations Department invites the community to come to Winston Square Park on Sept. 6 to celebrate the many cultures in our city at the International Village. 

The international backgrounds and heritage of Winston-Salem’s residents will be showcased, featuring global cuisine, cultural entertainment, international crafts for purchase, and educational information about our diverse community. 

The world comes to Winston-Salem at this free, exciting and educational food and musical festival featuring multicultural entertainment and merchandize vendors.  

International food trucks:  

*Colombian 

*Filipino 

*Jamaican 

*Mexican 

*Nigerian 

*Salvadoran 

All day music, dance and cultural demonstrations from Brazil, India, Korea, Mexico, Morocco and Turkey.  

Location: Winston Square Park 

Date: Sept. 6 

Time: Noon through 5 p.m. 

Ticket cost: Free admission 

On-street parking is available and is free on weekends. There are also several parking garages in the area which charge an hourly rate. 

The International Village offers a fun-filled afternoon for the whole family!
